Somayya Community Foundation (SCF) is preparing to launch its Family Food & Support Program on October 3, 2026, an initiative designed to help local families facing food insecurity and other everyday challenges.
The program will provide food assistance and practical support to families in Haines City and surrounding communities, with a focus on helping households experiencing financial hardship and food insecurity.
The initiative is part of SCF’s broader commitment to strengthening families, expanding access to essential resources, and building stronger connections within the community.
SCF is preparing the program with an initial budget of approximately $15,000 and is seeking support from community partners, businesses, foundations, and donors to help expand its reach and serve more families.
The October 3 launch represents an important step in SCF’s growing community service efforts. The Foundation hopes the program will develop into a sustainable source of assistance for local families while creating new opportunities for partnerships across Polk County.
Organizations, businesses, and community members interested in supporting the Family Food & Support Program are encouraged to contact Somayya Community Foundation or visit our website to learn more about SCF’s work.
